FRET WORK

Full FRET LEVEL done in the neck jig (photo above) -- $100
Partial fret level + crown -- $30-$60. Leveling just the upper frets can allow for lower action and a better set up.
Full RE-FRET includes leveling the fretboard wood, plus full fret level and crown, parts included:

- Bound $305
- Lacquered maple $325
- Ebony fret board + $25

Conversion to FRETLESS $240 and up
New NUT or SADDLE:
- Bone nut, custom made: $75 for 6 string guitar, 4 string bass. parts included.
- Tusq XL nut, pre-slotted: $55, parts included.
- Acoustic saddle, Tusq, bone, or micarta: $50, parts included.
- Earvana compensated nut: $60, plus $30 - $40 parts. Includes intonation.
On steel string guitars the notes at the first fret are always a little bit sharp compared to the open strings. The Earvana nut solves this problem by moving the string contact points closer to the first fret. I use them on all my custom guitars.
STRUCTURAL
CLEAN AND POLISH
- Some older guitars can use a full cleaning and polish. This usually runs $40 to $60 depending on the condition of the finish. I use Virtuoso brand cleaner and polish, formulated for vintage finishes.
